The TV tuner for PSP will retail for $58 and works only for Japan’s 1-Seg (One-Seg) The PSP-S310 connects via USB and will need a Memory Stick Duo. 08/19/2007]:::Update::: Enabling sound for generic (serial) gps devices.
One of the main compaints of the holux users is the lack of sound, since the plug, required for serial connection, automatically mutes PSP's speakers.
Mr7 just dropped in with this easy solution:
"Chop off the tip of the audio plug"
I tried it on 2 of my cablesand it works just fine..

[08/18/2007]:::Update::: in7ane just released a new version of gmdl, which patches some compatibility issues.

Details have just emerged on what exactly PSP owners can expect to do with their PSPs in the coming year and boy, does it look enticing. We covered the proposed hook-up between Sony and Sky last month and that service, along with others, is now set to go under the Go! brand. There are three key services on the way.
Movies & TV
The Go! Video Download Service, due early 2008, will offer users the chance to receive movies, music, sport and other programmes via WiFi. Surprisingly for a Sony launch, the UK & Ireland is getting this service first.
Sat-Nav
Go! Explore, due next year, is a new sat-nav service for the PSP with TeleAtlas and NavNGo. This will essentially turn your PSP into a “pedestrian or in-car” GPS sat-nav device. The key features are:
* Multiple Languages 11 languages
* Find & Go Easy Search & Smart Keyboard
* Smart Zoom Automatic Zooming & Tilting
* Explore Map Search & Explore the map
* Points Of Interest 100 categories, with thousands of locations
* My Data Favourites, Home, History
* Route Settings Fastest/Shortest; Day/Night Mode;
* Improved Graphics 3D city maps & 3D landmarks;
* Customisable settings Customisable Route Settings & Visuals
* Itinerary Mode Turn-by-turn overview
* 7 geographic versions confirmed (with country maps, hundreds of 3D landmarks and thousands of POIs available) : UK/Ireland; Iberia; France; Germany/Austria/Switzerland; Italy; Benelux; Scandinavia
Please note that so far only the GHPSP cable has been officially confirmed to work with MapThis. MapThis! compatibility with other devices mentioned above is still under question.
